The Project DIRECT Program represents a comprehensive approach to sustainable coffee sourcing that operates at the intersection of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability. The initiative strengthens supplier relationships by providing technical assistance, training, and direct market access, ensuring fair compensation and long-term business stability for farming communities. With every pound of green coffee purchased, current partners contribute $0.08-$0.10 per green pound, which is invested into an accrual fund that supports benefiting coffee growers and their communities.
